What to Do to Install this Rom?


1) Download the MicroFire Rom 3.1 from the link given below.
2) Put into External/Internal SD Card 
3) Go To CMW Recovery 
4) Wipe Data/Factory Reset And Wipe Partition
5) From Advance Menu Do Dalvik Catch Clear
6) From Advance Menu Do Battery State Clear
7) Select Install Zip From SD and Select File
8) Reboot Your System

How i ported this Rom,there was a guide from a post by Saad Usmani on this Website So rest of the credit goes to him.

Download Microfire Rom 3.1

 

Fix for SuperUser App.

1 )Download this MicroFire_Fix_Androidspakistan.com.zip and place it on SD card.
2 ) Go to CWM Recovery And Select Install from SD card and select  MicroFire_Fix_Androidspakistan.com.zip and install it now you will have root access on your device.

Fix for GPS:


  1. Download this gps.confi file from HERE
  2. Browse to system/etc using Root Explorer and mount the system as read/write system, there will a file named gps.conf, rename that file to backgps.conf for backup purpose and replace that file with the downloaded file.
  3. Done now reboot your device and test your gps and let me know if it worked for you.

    I used so many custom roms for A8 and i found same problem in every rom that we cann't use skype in JB rom. would you please check and provide any solution of it?

    Thank you jahanzaib, but this doesn't work permanently. It only works one time, next time we do clear the cache and same process again and again. Plz find any permanent solution. Thanks

    jahanzaib one more thing plz, the vibration is auto on for incoming calls except that it is in active in the audio profile setting. plz let me know how can i disable it.

    Dear jahanzaib the GPS doesn't work even after copying the gps.conf file. In fact there was no such file in the system/etc folder to be replaced. Kindly provide a solution if you can.

    yaar yeh rom jab install karta hu to mobile khud he restart ho jata ha aur phir recovery mode open ho jata ha please solve this problam ur rom is so beautiful

    Cwm Recovery me jake
    1:Wipe data/factory reset.
    2:wipe cacje partition.
    3:mounts and storage->format /system.
    4:Advanced->wipe dalvik cache..
    try this if worked let me know..

    I like this rom except that the GPS won't work. and without GPS the phone seems incomplete. I tried repeating all the steps you mentioned but it wont fix. Anything else you would want me to try? and any chance of releasing the same rom with GPS issue fixed?

    Jahanzaib plz do something for vibration issue, otherwise i'm gonna switch back to the ICS rom. yar it drains so much battery. plz guide any sort of coding or anything else to disable vibration.
