Rakuten will acquire Viber for $900 million. If you are unknow with the Rakuten,Rakuten, Inc. is a Japanese electronic commerce and Internet company based in Tokyo, Japan. Its B2B2C e-commerce platform Rakuten Ichiba is the largest e-commerce site in Japan and among the world’s largest by sales.
In addition  Rakuten bought e-reader maker the Kobo in January 2012 & spend an investment of $100 million in Pinterest.
Rakuten will acquite the viber for $900 million,which is being used by 250 million users in 193 different countries.The deal is expected to complete in march said by both companies.
Viber is one of the top 5 used App for messaging and calls in United States, Russia and Australia.Though whatsapp,skype and QQ mainly in china are biggest competitors of viber have more user's monthly.
Viber becoming the rival of skype also already have launched viber for pc,linux & OSX.
